Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 1:25 pm by President Joe Maniaci.

Officers Present

In Attendance: Joe Maniaci (President), Vicky Shipman (Vice President) Sandy Birkenshaw (Treasurer), Kristen Sieloff (Trustee).

Excused: Melissa Listenbee (secretary), Jennifer Czeiszperger (Trustee).        

Minutes

Motion to accept minutes was made by Kris Sieloff and seconded by Kerry Beauvais.

Treasurer’s Report

Sandy Birkenshaw presented the treasurer’s report.

Balances

Total: $11,104.35

Motion to accept made by Jim Elrod and seconded by Emma Germain.

Education Update

Sandy will send out 2-hour virtual classes.  Up to 8 hours of con ed are allowed to be virtual.

Guest Speaker

Macomb County Prosecutor, Peter Lucido, was the guest speaker.  Mr. Lucido spoke about stopping crimes against seniors such as identity theft, telemarketing fraud, mail fraud, home improvement fraud and care giver fraud.  He gave different avenues in which seniors can try and protect themselves and to be notified when money is spent.

New Business / Old Business

The golf outing turned out to be a good time!!

The first Friday in December will be our holiday party at Total sports.  Approved to spend $1500 on holiday party.   Motion to approve by Kristen Sieloff and seconded by Debbie Kopp.

Krist Sieloff reiterated to follow up on the audit meeting held on 8-26.  She would like to have lunch and a meeting to mentor each other on the audit.
