Meeting Minutes

The meeting was called to order at 2:30pm by President Joe Maniaci.

Officers Present

In Attendance: Joe Maniaci (President), Vicky Shipman (Vice President), Sandy Birkenshaw (Treasurer), Melissa Listenbee (Secretary), Jennifer Czeiszperger (Trustee).

Excused: Kristen Seiloff (Trustee).

Minutes

Motion to accept minutes was made by Emma Germain and seconded by Kerry Beauvais.

Treasurer’s Report

Sandy Birkenshaw presented the treasurer’s report.

Balances

Total: $10,516.67

Motion to accept made by Jennifer Czeiszperger and seconded by Kristine Edwards.

Education Update

There are numerous classes coming up for continued education.  The MAO has scheduled these following classes coming soon.

May 22- Deeds, Documents & Chain of Title Shila Kiander 4 Hours CE

May 22- To Keep or Not to Keep the Assessor Retention Schedule Shila Kiander 2 hour CE

August 27- Developing Cap Rates: It’s Not Just Math David Rice 7 Hours CE

September 29 – Tony Meyaard 6 Hours CE

Guest Speaker David Rice

David Rice presented a two-hour class – Highest and Best Use-Special Situations -prior to the MAO meeting as part of a” Lunch and Learn” meeting.

New Business / Old Business

-The annual golf outing is Friday, June 12^th, at Pine Valley Golf Club.  It is $90 per person which includes a continental breakfast, 18 holes w/ cart, lunch at the turn, and a buffet dinner.  There will be a 50/50 raffle, and everyone will go home with a prize!  There was a motion to approve the golf outing budget first by Matt Schmitt and seconded by Jennifer Czeiszperger. 

-The annual Christmas party will be held tentatively December 6 @ Total Sports.

-Nominations and elections took place for the new Board Members for the upcoming year.  The new Board is as follows;

Vicky  Shipman – President

Melissa Listenbee – Vice President

Sandy Birkenshaw – Treasurer

Kayla Rothenberg – Secretary

Trustees – Kristen Sieloff & Jennifer Czeiszperger

A motion to accept the nominations as presented was made by Andrew Hale and seconded by Jennifer Czeiszperger.

Thank you so much to outgoing President, Joe Maniaci, for serving on the Board all these years with dedication and kindness.  We will miss having you on the Board!
